Slight differences in colour, texture, finish, shape, placement of decorative elements and surface appearance may occur.
Minor wax marks, frosting, bubbles and other small variations may be natural characteristics of handcrafted or small-batch candles and may not constitute defects.
Product measurements and weights may be approximate unless specifically stated otherwise.

All candles and decorative elements sold by The Candle Diary are non-edible, even when designed to resemble food, fruit, desserts or other edible items.

5. Prices and Taxes

All prices displayed on the website are in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise.

Prices, discounts, taxes, delivery charges and other applicable fees will be displayed during checkout. The final amount shown before payment will be the amount payable for the order.

We may change product prices or promotional offers at any time. Any price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted, except where there is an obvious pricing or technical error.

6. Orders and Order Acceptance

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.

An automated order confirmation only confirms that we have received your order. An order is considered accepted when it is processed or dispatched.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order where:

The product is unavailable.
Payment has not been authorized or completed.
The delivery information is incomplete or incorrect.
There is an obvious pricing, description or technical error.
We reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorized activity or misuse of an offer.
The quantity ordered exceeds reasonable personal-use limits.
We cannot deliver to the provided location.

If payment has already been received for a cancelled order, the eligible amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

7. Payments

Payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways. Your use of such services may also be governed by the terms and privacy policies of the relevant payment provider.

You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method selected during checkout.

The Candle Diary is not responsible for a payment provider’s system failure, bank processing delay or declined transaction. We will assist where reasonably possible.

8. Shipping and Delivery

We currently fulfil orders across India, subject to courier availability and serviceability.

Orders are normally dispatched within 3 days.
Estimated delivery time is approximately 5 to 8 days.
Free shipping is currently available on orders above ₹500, subject to the conditions displayed during checkout.

Dispatch and delivery timelines are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays may occur because of courier issues, weather, public holidays, regional restrictions, incorrect addresses or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address and an available contact number.

If an order is returned because of an incorrect address, repeated failed delivery attempts or refusal to accept the parcel, additional shipping charges may apply before it can be dispatched again.

Risk of accidental damage or loss passes to the customer upon successful delivery, subject to applicable consumer law.

9. Order Cancellations

To request cancellation, contact us at shop@thecandlediary.com as soon as possible with your order number.

We will try to accommodate cancellations requested before dispatch, but cancellation cannot be guaranteed once processing or shipping has begun.

Orders that have already been dispatched will be handled according to our Refund & Returns Policy.

10. Returns, Refunds and Replacements

If you receive an incorrect, damaged or defective product, contact us promptly and provide:

Clear photographs or other reasonable evidence of the product and packaging.

Please retain the original product and packaging until your request has been reviewed.

Products should not be returned without receiving return instructions from The Candle Diary. Eligibility for a return, replacement or refund will depend on the condition of the product, the nature of the issue and applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms restricts any non-waivable rights available to consumers under applicable law.

11. Promotions, Coupons and Gift Cards

Promotional codes, discounts and special offers:

Are valid only for the stated period.

12. Candle Safety

Candles involve an open flame and must be used carefully. By purchasing or using our candles, you agree to follow all product-specific instructions and general candle-safety precautions.

Always:

Keep a burning candle within sight.
Place it on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface.
Use a suitable candle plate or holder where melted wax may run.
Keep it away from children, pets, curtains, paper and other flammable materials.
Keep it away from drafts, fans and air vents.
Maintain adequate distance between multiple burning candles.
Extinguish the candle safely before leaving the room or going to sleep.
Stop using a candle or container if it becomes damaged or unsafe.
Allow the candle and melted wax to cool before touching or moving them.

Do not consume candles or decorative candle elements. Discontinue use if a fragrance causes discomfort or irritation.

The Candle Diary will not be responsible for damage caused by misuse, neglect, failure to follow safety instructions or use of a product for an unintended purpose, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

13. Intellectual Property
